Albania, the country where you can admire and enjoy nature, both beautiful and chaste. The gleaming and warm sea, clean air and healthy climate, the hospitality of Albanians - one of their most deeply-rooted traditions, and the natural and cultural wealth, will etch unforgettable memories in your mind.

Albanians shake always hands. Not only on being introduced to somebody but also on greeting or leaving people they already know. Albanians usually remove their shoes inside their homes or other people's houses. Albanianslove foreigners. As might be expected in a country which for 50 years was starved of contact with foreigners, Albanians are always very keen tot engage visitors in conversations. Their questions often become very personal and very quickly. It is mainly younger people who speak English. The most widely spoken foreign language is Italian, thanks to the ease with which television broadcast reach most of Albania from that country. In the big city's some people speak English but in the villages most people speak only Albanian or Italian. In the summer time it is very hot in Albania. Many people then take a siesta. Shops are open from 7.00 until 14.00 o'clock and are open again at 18.00 until late in the evening. Even on sunday the shops are always open.

Albania with its wonderful view offers for many tourists a variety of natural colors and shapes. It is a small country that is on the western part of Ballcanic Peninsula and it is part of south-eastern Europe. Albania has an expansion of 340 km north-south and 150 km east-west, its surface 28.748 km2 and population of 3 million inhabitants. Albania is touched from Adriatic’s and Jon’s sea mainly on the western part. The lenght of the coastline goes up till 450 km. The delimiting countries are: Greece in the south, Macedonia in east, Black Mountain and Kosovo in North,while the Adriatic sea seperate it from Italy.
Albania is mainly a mountainous country, this you can note on its map where 2/3 of its territory is made of hills and mountains, while the fields with height of 200m over the sea level are not more than 1/3 of the territory.



Climate
Albania lies on an area with Mediterranean climate. But because of the mountainous character of this country and very rough relief, the climate is not the same in all territory. The very rough character of the relief, as well as the main direction of mountain ranges influents on the spread of continental power.
April-May-June,September and october are wonderful months to visit and travel through Albania. Summers are hot, but when you like the sun you can visit Albania in the high season.

Hydrographic
Albania is rich with rivers and many watery sources. The rivers formed from many sources and with big difference on water quantity that they got from season to season, the mountainous character of the rivers make them adapted for sailing too. The mainrivers are: Drini(281km) is the longest river in Albania and is composed from 2 branches: Black Drini and White Drini.
